Dr. Maureen Dewey, DMD - Dedham Cosmetic Dentist

Dr. Maureen Callahan Dewey is a 1979 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Boston College.  She spent two years doing medical research at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Brighton, Massachusetts before enrolling at the Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry at Boston University.  Dr. Dewey earned her D.M.D. in 1985 and was honored with five awards for clinical and academic excellence.  She continued her training at a combined Harvard University/Veteran's Administration two year general practice residency which she completed in 1987. During her residency Dr. Dewey was a clinical instructor at the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine. She spent eighteen years as a staff dentist at the Harvard University Health Services and during that time purchased Dedham Family Dental Care in 1992 with her husband.  In 2005 Dr. Dewey was offered a position at the Jamaica Plain Veteran's Administration Hospital that would allow her to combine her love of clinical practice and teaching.  She is currently the Assistant Chief of the Dental Service.  She also developed and is the director of a combined VA/Harvard University General Practice Residency Program in Hospital Dentistry.  She is no longer regularly scheduling patients at Dedham Family Dental Care.
