Dr. Michael Dewey, DMD - Dedham Cosmetic Dentist

Dr. Michael Dewey is a 1979 Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Boston College.  He received his D.M.D. degree in 1983 from the Boston University Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry and attended Boston University on a full scholarship from the U.S. Public Health Service.  While at BU, Dr. Dewey was class president for four years and the student representative to the admissions committee.  Upon graduation Dr. Dewey entered the U.S. Public Health Service and was stationed in Boston where he worked at the Upham's Corner Health Center. While at Upham's Corner Dr. Dewey started a home care dental program to provide basic services to home bound and elderly patients who were unable to come into the clinic for care.  He also taught restorative dentistry at Boston University and mentored predoctoral students on six week externship rotations at Upham's Corner. After seven years Dr. Dewey retired from the Public Health Service and accepted a position at Harvard University as a general dentist in the University Health Services.  He also worked in a private speciality practice in Cambridge.  In 1992 Dr. Dewey and his wife bought Dedham Family Dental Care and over the next few years transformed it from a part-time practice to the thriving office it is today.  Dr. Dewey is very proud of his accomplishments in Dedham and looks forward to spending many more years in Dedham Square.
